Pour les h\u00e9rissons et les tenrecs, o\u00f9 les populations captives sont souvent limit\u00e9es, la croisement peut \u00eatre un outil essentiel.   <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qu\u2019est-ce que l\u2019allogamie ?<\/h4>\n\n<p>Le croisement est la pratique consistant \u00e0 croiser un individu avec un autre animal qui n&rsquo;est pas \u00e9troitement apparent\u00e9, id\u00e9alement issu d&rsquo;une lign\u00e9e compl\u00e8tement diff\u00e9rente. L\u2019objectif est d\u2019augmenter la diversit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9tique, de r\u00e9duire le risque de probl\u00e8mes h\u00e9r\u00e9ditaires et d\u2019am\u00e9liorer des caract\u00e9ristiques telles que le type corporel, le temp\u00e9rament ou l\u2019\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. <\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pourquoi la croisement est importante chez les h\u00e9rissons<\/h5>\n\n<p>Les h\u00e9rissons, en particulier les h\u00e9rissons pygm\u00e9es africains en captivit\u00e9, sont souvent \u00e9lev\u00e9s pour leur couleur et leurs motifs. Cette focalisation r\u00e9duit parfois le pool g\u00e9n\u00e9tique. Sans une gestion prudente, une d\u00e9pression de consanguinit\u00e9 peut survenir, entra\u00eenant :  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Des port\u00e9es plus petites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Un syst\u00e8me immunitaire plus faible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Des dur\u00e9es de vie raccourcies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pr\u00e9valence accrue de maladies telles que le syndrome du h\u00e9risson bancal (WHS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Le croisement permet aux s\u00e9lectionneurs de r\u00e9introduire de nouveaux g\u00e8nes dans la population. En s\u00e9lectionnant soigneusement des partenaires ind\u00e9pendants, ils peuvent renforcer la sant\u00e9 globale de la lign\u00e9e tout en pr\u00e9servant les traits de couleur souhait\u00e9s. <\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pourquoi le croisement est important dans Tenrecs<\/h5>\n\n<p>Les tenrecs en captivit\u00e9 sont beaucoup moins courants et les populations descendent souvent d&rsquo;un petit nombre d&rsquo;animaux import\u00e9s. Cela fait des goulets d\u2019\u00e9tranglement g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques une r\u00e9elle pr\u00e9occupation. Le croisement n\u2019est donc pas une question de couleur ou de motif, mais de maintenir des lign\u00e9es saines et viables.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Par exemple, les Tenrecs Petits H\u00e9rissons peuvent \u00eatre r\u00e9partis dans diff\u00e9rentes installations et pays, chacun avec seulement une poign\u00e9e d&rsquo;individus reproducteurs.
