Vir krimpvarkies en tenreke het hierdie benadering aandag getrek onder ervare houers. Terwyl tradisionele di\u00ebte staatmaak op katkos of insekvretende korrels aangevul met insekte, bied BARF &#8216;n meer natuurlike voedingsprofiel wat naboots wat krimpvarkies in die natuur sou verbruik.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Dit is belangrik dat BARF nie net &#8216;n korttermyn-tendens is nie. Baie honde-oppassers rapporteer langtermynvoordele, insluitend verbeterde pels- en ruggraatgehalte, gebalanseerde gewig en selfs ondersteuning in metaboliese toestande soos tipe 2-diabetes. Hierdie metode is egter nie sonder risiko&#8217;s nie; presisie en verantwoordelikheid is van kardinale belang.  <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Biologiese Agtergrond<\/h4>\n\n<p>Wilde krimpvarkies eet meestal ongewerweldes (sprinkane, kewers, larwes, motte, bye, slakke, krieke) en, in &#8216;n mindere mate, klein gewerweldes soos muise of vo\u00ebls, sowel as eiers en aas. Hul tande is gebou soos di\u00e9 van karnivore, wat hul aanpassing by dierlike voedsel weerspie\u00ebl. <\/p>\n\n<p>Anders as omnivore, het krimpvarkies nie &#8216;n dunderm en die ensieme wat nodig is om plantvesels af te breek nie. Dit beteken dat hulle nie doeltreffend voedingstowwe uit plantmateriaal kan verteer of absorbeer nie. Hulle benodig die volledige voedingspakket van &#8216;n prooi in een maaltyd, eerder as om voedingstowwe oor verskeie maaltye te versprei soos &#8216;n hond sou doen. Hul voedingsgedrag lyk meer soos di\u00e9 van &#8216;n kat as &#8216;n hond: onmiddellike verbruik van die hele prooi.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Daarom word BARF-formulerings dikwels aangepas vanaf katdi\u00ebte, maar met bykomende insekkomponente om die krimpvarkie se gemengde prooispektrum te weerspie\u00ebl.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Samestelling van &#8216;n BARF-mengsel<\/h4>\n\n<p>&#8216;n Gebalanseerde BARF-mengsel volg tipies hierdie riglyn:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>85% spiervleis (insluitend ~100 g hart per kilo en 8\u201310% vetinhoud)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5% been (bv. hoendernek, fyn gemaal)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5% vesel (bv. verteerde maaginhoud of plaasvervanger soos blaargroente)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5% organe (ideaal gesproke &#8216;n volledige reeks: lewer, nier, milt, long)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>By elke kilogram vleismengsel word die volgende aanvullings bygevoeg:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>50 ml bloed (as &#8216;n natuurlike natrium- en ysterbron)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>200 \u00b5g jodium (van seewier of vis)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 g taurine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1000 mg EPA\/DHA (visolie, bv. salmolie)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>50 mg vitamien E<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Waarom Aanvullings Noodsaaklik Is<\/h4>\n\n<p><strong>Bloed<\/strong><br\/>Verskaf natrium en yster. Indien nie beskikbaar nie, kan bloed vervang word met &#8216;n knippie sout plus ekstra milt (bv. 20 g per kilogram in plaas van long). <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Jodium (seewier of vis)<\/strong><br\/>Klein prooi bevat natuurlik jodium. Sonder aanvulling loop krimpvarkies die risiko van hipotireose; te veel kan hipertireose veroorsaak. Akkurate dosering is van kritieke belang.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Taurien<\/strong><br\/>Noodsaaklik vir sig, vrugbaarheid, fetale ontwikkeling, hart- en senuweestelselgesondheid. &#8216;n Muis bevat ho\u00eb taurienvlakke; daarom kan \u00f3f 50% van spiervleis met hart vervang word, \u00f3f suiwer taurien moet bygevoeg word (2 g per kilo om ~2000\u20132500 mg\/kg te bereik). Taurien kan nie oordosis word nie, oormaat word uitgeskei.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Omega-3-vetsure<\/strong><br\/>Kommersi\u00eble veevleis is hoog in omega-6. Om balans te herstel, word omega-3&#8217;s (EPA\/DHA) bygevoeg. Plantaardige olies (soos vlas) is nutteloos vir krimpvarkies, aangesien hulle nie alfa-linoleensuur in EPA\/DHA kan omskakel nie. Visoliekapsules (bv. salmolie) word aanbeveel. Die teikenverhouding is 5:1 (omega-6:omega-3).    <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Vitamien E<\/strong><br\/>Benodig as &#8216;n antioksidant saam met visolie. Geen bykomende aanvulling is nodig nie. Wees versigtig: olierige vis soos salm, haring of paling bevat baie ho\u00eb vitamien D; vermy om dit oormatig met die lewer te kombineer om oordosis te voorkom.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Biotien (Vitamien H)<\/strong><br\/>Ondersteun vel, stekels, kloue en regenerasie. Beste bron: rou eiergeel. Dit vereis presisie en noukeurige monitering. <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Voedingswanbalans: <\/strong>Oor- of onderaanvulling (veral jodium, vitamien E of kalsium) kan langtermyn skade veroorsaak.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Patogeenrisiko: <\/strong>Rou vleis kan bakterie\u00eb en parasiete dra. Veilige verkryging, vries en higi\u00ebne is noodsaaklik. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nie &#8216;n enigste dieet nie: <\/strong>Insekte moet &#8216;n belangrike komponent bly, aangesien BARF nie hul rol in vertering kan vervang nie (veral chitien).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Monitering benodig:<\/strong> Gewig, stoelgangkwaliteit, veltoestand en bloedwerk (indien moontlik) moet gereeld nagegaan word.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Waarom vleis vir menslike gebruik nie geskik is nie<\/h5>\n\n<p>Met die eerste oogopslag lyk dit dalk gerieflik om supermarkvleis vir krimpvarkies of tenreke te gebruik. Vleis wat vir menslike gebruik bedoel is, is egter nie geskik as &#8216;n stapelvoedsel vir insekvreters nie. Daar is verskeie redes hiervoor:  <\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Verkeerde voedingsprofiel<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>Vleisstukke van mensgraad word vir mense gekies, nie vir diere nie. Hulle is dikwels te maer (hoenderbors) of te vetterig (vel, afval). <\/p>\n\n<p>Spiervleis alleen het &#8216;n ernstige kalsium-fosfor-wanbalans, heeltemal te veel fosfor, amper geen kalsium nie, wat mettertyd metaboliese beensiekte veroorsaak indien dit nie reggestel word nie.<\/p>\n\n<p>Belangrike insekgebaseerde voedingstowwe soos chitien is heeltemal afwesig.<\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bymiddels en verwerking<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>Baie vleis wat vir mense verkoop word, word ingespuit met soutoplossings, marinades of preserveermiddels wat onskadelik is vir mense, maar skadelik vir klein soogdiere.<\/p>\n\n<p>Selfs &#8220;gewone&#8221; vleis is dalk op maniere verwerk wat die voedingsinhoud daarvan verander.<\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Patogeen- en bergingsrisiko<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>Menslike voedselveiligheidstandaarde neem aan dat vleis gaargemaak sal word voor verbruik. Vir rou voeding beteken dit dat bakterie\u00eb soos Salmonella, E. coli of parasiete &#8216;n werklike bedreiging bly. <\/p>\n\n<p>Bevriesing verminder, maar elimineer nie hierdie risiko&#8217;s nie.<\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Evolusion\u00eare wanverhouding<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>Krimpvarkies en tenreke het ontwikkel om insekte, klein gewerweldes en aas te eet. Hulle het nie ontwikkel om groot porsies gekweekte pluimvee of beesvleis te verwerk nie. Om slegs supermarkvleis te voer is dus nie &#8220;natuurlik&#8221; nie, selfs al is dit rou.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Om hierdie redes moet vleis wat vir menslike maaltye bedoel is nooit as die enigste of prim\u00eare dieet gebruik word nie. Dit kan ingesluit word in &#8216;n sorgvuldig gebalanseerde BARF-resep saam met insekte, organe, bene en aanvullings, maar slegs wanneer die volle voedingsprofiel aangepas word om aan die dier se behoeftes te voldoen. <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In Opsomming<\/h4>\n\n<p>BARF en vars vleisdi\u00ebte kan &#8216;n waardevolle opsie vir krimpvarkies (en in sommige gevalle tenreke) wees, maar slegs wanneer dit deur ervare oppassers met kennis van aanvulling en higi\u00ebne hanteer word. Indien dit korrek gedoen word, bied BARF langtermynvoordele, ondersteun dit natuurlike fisiologie en kan dit selfs help om chroniese toestande soos diabetes te bestuur. Indien dit verkeerd gedoen word, hou dit ernstige risiko&#8217;s in.
